MOELYPARC STUD |
Ponies have always played a part of our lives. My first pony when I was very small was a little grey gelding, breeding unknown, but undoubtedly Section A for all to see. My father remembers as a child, ponies coming off the train from all over the North Wales Hills to the family farm as a stop off point before being shipped all over Great Britain.
Within the Section A's, the quality and spectacular movement of the Friars stud on Anglesey have always appealed to us. Therefore we have selected our ponies mainly from Friars and Menai lines, along with those of the Revel. We are looking to breed a pony that is hardy and has good conformation to enable them to thrive in their natural environment, and also importantly have outstanding temperaments for them to make excellent children's ponies.
Section A's at Moelyparc
Section D's have always been my main passion, with one line in particular being at the forefront. Tyhen Comet to me is the ideal Welsh Cob. Excellent bone and body, superb head and unmistakable Comet fire. We hope to keep this precious line going through Trevallion and Menai lines. We also favour Craignant Flyer lines as we find they cross particularly well with the Comet lines.

2007 foals Moelyparc Brenhines (black) & Moelyparc Astral Comet, both linebred to Tyhen Comet.
